Thanks to a generous membership and community, nearly $200,000 has been awarded to Collier County music students in grades 6 through 12 since the inception of the Naples Music Club Scholarship Program in 1970.Funding of the Club‘s programs and activities comes from mxembers’ dues, tax-deductible contributions, free-will donations at concerts, and revenues received from special fund-raising events.
Support
The Naples Music Club gratefully appreciates the support of its members and the community. Our Contribution Form details the various contribution levels that may be selected.
The Naples Music Club especially recognizes the generous contributions of Mr. and Mrs. Samuel Turiel, who established the Turiel Music Scholarship, an annual prize of up to $2,000 awarded to an outstanding high school senior, and Mr. Clifford Saby, whose significant grants have enhanced the Club’s ability to provide scholarships. The Naples Music Club encourages additional gifts such as these. To learn more, please contact us
I would like to share with you the long relationship I have had with the Naples Music Club to provide a better understanding of the many positive opportunities it provides for children pursuing music.
I first competed in the Club’s Scholarship Competition as a sixth-grader. Every year since, prize money supported my private piano lessons at home and helped fund my tuition to the Luzerne, Brevard and Centre d’Arts Orford summer festivals as well as study in China. The Club’s competitions and recitals also provided me with venues to show my hard work, something young musicians often don’t have.
I am so grateful for the doors the Club opened for me. Now a sophomore at the Eastman School of Music pursuing a Bachelors of Music in piano performance, I can reflect upon the past years and know that I would not be the musician I am today if it had not been for this society. I cannot express how much I appreciate what the Naples Music Club has done for me.
