“A Musical Carnival” – Members’ Recital First United Methodist Church 388 1st Avenue South Naples, FL 34102 Coordinators:  Gordon Hammes, gordon.hammes@duke.edu, and Frank Burgeson, Frank2082@comcast.net Come one, come all! Join the gaiety and fun of a carnival! Irresistible music, featuring many instruments including organ, piano, trumpet, cello, violin, voice and clarinet, will range from classical to popular. Concluding the program will be excerpts from Schumann’s Carnaval. This program, performed by our talented members, is sure to delight both adults and children. See Final Program here.

Naples Music Club Annual Holiday Dinner Quail Creek Country Club 13300 Valewood Dr. Naples, FL 34119 Coordinators:  Nicki Huber, 239-594-6903; Chris Straton, 239-207-7333; and Myra Williams, 609-933-0303 Members, their guests, and friends of the Naples Music Club are invited to attend this annual, convivial holiday dinner to be held at Quail Creek Country Club – a wonderful club with delightful ambiance and a terrific chef.  Entertainment will be provided by some of our outstanding student musicians, making this an event one with superb performances, exceptional camaraderie and outstanding food. $50 per person. Cash bar. Invitations, including a response form, will be mailed to members in early November.

Naples Music Club Benefit featuring Priscila Navarro, a Peruvian pianist Location – one of the top country clubs in Naples Coordinator: Anne Roberts, 239-498-6366 Hosts:  Michael and Ginny Flemming Priscila Navarro is a phenomenal 19 year old pianist who always plays to standing ovations in Naples.  She has won the 20th International Chopin Piano Competition, the 15th Biennial Beethoven Sonata Competition, as well as numerous other national and international competitions.  Priscila is completing her final year as an undergraduate at FGCU.  She has been a wonderful friend to the Naples Music Club and we celebrate her success with this concert before she moves on to graduate school.

2014 Annual Student Scholarship Competition Golden Gate High School 2925 Magnolia Pond Drive Naples, FL 34116 Co-Chairs: Jan Grundeman, 239-353-2216 This prestigious competition, which has taken place since 1970, is for competitors and contest officials only. Directions to Golden GateHigh School: From Rt. 41 in Naples, take Golden Gate Parkway east to I-75. Merge onto I-75S towards Miami.  Take Exit 101 for CR-951 toward Marco Island/Naples. Keep in left hand lane. Turn left onto CR-951 N/Golden Gate. Continue past the ramp leading to I-75 north. In 0.5 miles, turn left at a traffic light onto Magnolia Pond Drive. Golden Gate High School will be 0.7 mile on your right. Alternately, if you prefer not to use I-75, take Golden Gate Parkway East to CR-951/Collier Blvd. Turn right. Watch for Magnolia Pond Dr., which will be 0.5 miles short of the I-75 interchange on your right. Continue as above to the school. Park around to the left of the auditorium, which is on the west end of the school.
